Health First 2017 Community Report

2017 Community Report video

With an ongoing mission of providing our community with quality wellness and healthcare opportunities for more than two decades, Health First is committed to continuing its efforts to becoming an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN). To be a true IDN, hospitals, health insurance companies and providers work together to increasingly focus on keeping people well, rather than waiting until they become sick. Of course, not all sickness can be prevented. Through our hospitals and outpatient services, Health First is here to provide exceptional care when sickness occurs.

As a not-for-profit healthcare system, we are proud to serve Brevard County and look forward to making more memories with you. Coordinating our efforts is our local Health First Health Plans, which offers multiple commercial and Medicare health insurance plans. Health First Health Plans has continued to grow, providing insurance coverage for more than 160,000 members.

Health First cares about this community, and we hope you can see that in our efforts to support the good works of others. Counting all contributions, we made to other organizations and our direct charity and uncompensated care, Health First provided more than $158 million of community support to Brevard in Fiscal Year 2016.

With more than 8,000 caring associates, more than 4,000 credentialed clinicians and 2,000 volunteers, Health First is completely dedicated to ensuring your health and wellness are our top priorities.

Our focus on wellness is also evident within our Health First Medical Group and its more than 325 providers. Of course they will treat you when you are sick, but they are also here with seminars, programs and advice to keep you well. Health First’s four hospitals offer almost 900 licensed beds throughout the county and should a major emergency ever arise for you or a family member, you can rest easy knowing you have full access to a Level II Trauma Center. Health First also offers our community a variety of outpatient and wellness services, including four Pro-Health & Fitness Centers to keep you fit and strong, as well as services such as Home Care, Hospice and Rehabilitation.

Health First is dedicated to doing all we can to ensure our families, neighbors and friends are as healthy as possible.
