Joe serves as a strategic financial partner and member of Health First's senior executive leadership team as well as the Health First Board of Directors. He is responsible for overall Health First financial operations, including revenue cycle activities, controllership functions, treasury and investments, strategic financial planning, managed care contracting, supply chain, as well as Health First Health Plans financial operations.

Before joining Health First, Joe served as chief financial officer of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, a $1.6 billion integrated healthcare network in PA. Prior to that, he served as chief financial officer and chief strategy officer for Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Joe has vast experience in hospital and health system financial management, operations improvement, managing institutional investment portfolios, joint venture development, and working with capital markets and rating agencies on behalf of not-for-profit health systems.

Joe earned both his bachelor of science in business administration and his master of health administration at The Ohio State University.
