Sean joined Health First in November 2012 as president of Health First Holmes Regional, where his is responsible for implementing strategy and business development initiatives, overseeing revenue planning, capital budget, and physician relations at our 514-bed tertiary hospital. Sean works with the Health First operational team to ensure that the highest quality and safety is provided for patient experiences and outcomes.

Sean previously served as vice president, strategy and business development at Exempla Healthcare, a regional health network with three hospitals, a large multi-specialty physician group, and several sub-acute services in Denver, CO. At Exempla Healthcare he was responsible for a $1 billion dollar annual revenue budget, new ventures and service line development, long-term strategy, and capital planning.

While at Exempla, Sean launched new service lines, created multiple operational service enhancements, and helped achieve the organization's highest operating margin and income in its 13-year history. Sean has also led successful joint venture partnerships in hospice, long-term care facilities, respiratory care, oncology, home care, surgery centers, and rehabilitation services.

After earning a bachelor's degree in finance from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, Sean earned master's degrees in health administration and human resource management/organizational development from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
