The Code, which is only one component of our Corporate Ethics and Compliance Program, is distributed to all Health First employees, medical staff, and Board members. The Code of Ethics & Business Conduct is also available to our business partners. We want our vendors, community members, and business associates to be familiar with the contents of this Code and have a clear understanding of the fundamental principles which support our commitment to professional business ethics. This Code embodies the philosophy we live by and the expectations we hold for our business community.
The Code helps you to understand our corporate responsibility for honest and fair business practices and provides you with resources to seek assistance when confronted with compliance dilemmas. Furthermore, the Code includes written standards to deter wrongdoing and promote our I-CARE Values – Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. When you are unsure of the appropriate action, you can take advantage of our open-door policy to raise your concerns with management, and follow the processes outlined in this Code.
