Matthew Campbell, MD, FACS is board-certified in thoracic surgery, general surgery, and vascular surgery. He is fellowship-trained in vascular surgery and thoracic surgery.

His professional interests and focuses include aortic valve replacement, mitral/tricuspid valve repair and replacement, aortic aneurysm surgery, both endovascular and open, coronary artery bypass surgery, robotic lung and mediastinal tumor resections, and open and endovascular surgery.

Dr. Campbell earned his medical degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in general surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, followed by accredited fellowships in vascular surgery from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and thoracic surgery from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Leonor Lourido
Leonor Lourido, ARNP

Leonor Lourido is an ARNP, FNP-C with the Health First Medical Group. She works with the Cardiothoracic team at Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Leonor holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Combat Casualty Trauma. She is a credentialed Critical Care Nurse in the Army Nurse Corps, U.S. Army, as well as credentialed ARNP, FNP-C with the U.S. Army.

Josh Michaelman

Joshua Michaelman is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with the Health First Medical Group serving patients at Health First's Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Joshua earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and a Master of Health Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. He then completed a certificate of Physician Assistant Surgical Residency from Norwalk Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine in Norwalk, CT. He was recognized with the Linda Brandt Memorial Award for exemplary spirit and dedication. While at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University School of Medicine, Joshua served as a Surgical Physician Assistant Resident. He completed an intensive 12-month clinical and didactic program conducted jointly by the Department of Surgery at Norwalk Hospital and Yale University School of Medicine. He then served as Staff Surgical Physician Assistant. Most recently, Joshua served as Emergency Department Physician Assistant for Emergency Medical Associates of Tampa Bay and a Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for Cardiac Surgical Associates in Saint Petersburg in Tampa.

John O'Bryan
John O'Bryan, PAC

John O'Bryan is a Board Certified Physician Assistant with the Health First Medical Group and is a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery team. John has extensive experience in both medical and interventional cardiology, as well as pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, having previously served with Health First Cardiovascular Specialists for five years and with the Congenital Heart Institute at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children for two years.

John earned his Physician Assistant certificate from the Physician Assistant Program at Miami-Dade College in Miami, FL. He was the recipient of the PA Program Director's Leadership Award and the Academic Achievement Award.

He is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Gregory Simmons
Gregory Simmons, MD

Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center


Gregory Simmons, MD is board-certified in thoracic surgery.

His professional interests and focuses include mitral valve surgery including complex valve repairs, aortic valve and aneurysm surgery; along with treatment of complex atrial arrhythmias such as chronic atrial fibrillation (AFib).

Dr. Simmons earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his internship and residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
