Holmes Regional Trauma Center
A variety of specially trained healthcare professionals treat trauma patients from pre-hospital care through recovery. We feel strongly that trauma care is a multi-disciplinary team effort integrating input from the public, businesses, industry, and government.
HRTC receives the services of six trauma surgeons and an orthopaedic traumatologist from the University of Florida. This unique relationship with a major university and the UF Health Science Center-Jacksonville, a Level I trauma center, provides a variety of opportunities and support not traditionally enjoyed by Level II trauma centers. Other dedicated staff members specially trained in trauma care include physician assistants, a psychologist, program manager, education/ outreach/ prevention coordinator, registrar, quality analyst, 12 nurses, and a Trauma Clinic nurse.
The success of our trauma program is directly attributable to the contributions of each and every associate and volunteer within the hospital system. Further insuring the success of the trauma program are community surgeons and physicians.
