FAQs

Health First Training Center

General information

Q: What is the Health First Training Center?
A: The Health First Training Center is a regional educational institution dedicated to providing quality advanced instruction for the professional healthcare provider and basic healthcare knowledge for the lay public. The American Heart Association has approved the Health First Training Center as a Community Training Center. In addition, the State of Florida has approved the Training Center to provide initial emergency medical technician (EMT) and paramedic training, and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians has approved our facility to provide courses like Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).

Q: Who uses the Health First Training Center?
A: Health First associates, as well as professionals who work for other regional healthcare providers, utilize our services. In addition, lay members of the public also participate in courses like CPR. The main purpose of the Health First Training Center is to serve the needs of Health First associates, so many of our students are from within the Health First organization. However, we believe that we have a tremendous responsibility to serve the surrounding community, so we also cater to multiple healthcare agencies and institutions, as well as the general public.

Q: Where are classes held?
A: The majority of our programs are held at our main campus located at the Rivercrest Professional Center at 3470 North US 1 in Melbourne.

Q: I work in a doctor's office and my entire office staff needs CPR training. Will the Training Center come to my office?
A: Yes, please contact our office and we would be happy to arrange many different types of training at times and locations convenient for you and your team.
