Health First Foundation to host its 27th Annual Benefit Ball Benefiting VitalWatch

Central Florida's only electronic intensive care units (eICU) - and ONLY at Health First

The Health First Foundation will host its 27th Annual Benefit Ball on Saturday, April 18th, from 6:30 to midnight at the Clemente Center at Florida Institute of Technology campus in Melbourne.

A "must-attend" event

This year’s theme is "Breakfast at Tiffany’s". Guests of this black-tie affair will enjoy a glamorous evening of dinner, dancing and entertainment while raising funds to obtain the latest, state-of-the-art life saving equipment.

Past ball sponsors and individual donors have helped the hospital system raise more than $4 million to date for needed community healthcare programs and services.

What is VitalWatch?

Rita Moreno, this year’s Chair, is working vigorously towards making this goal a reality. "The primary mission and focus of any hospital is to save lives. I believe that the new VitalWatch, Health First Remote ICU management program will do just that."

Up to now the sickest patients in the hospital could only be monitored in confined areas such as the intensive care unit. With this new form of telemedicine, doctors and nurses at a remote location will be able to provide intensive care unit type of monitoring, to any patient that requires it, no matter what area of the hospital that patient is in.

Funds raised will help purchase eCareMobile units

Funds raised by the Health First Foundation Benefit Ball will be used to help purchase four eCareMobile units (similar to robots). These units will allow our critical care team of highly trained physicians and nurses to provide vital care for more patients more effectively.

Tickets and Sponsorship Information

Tickets to the black-tie event are $200 per person and sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $25,000.

Kim Brown, the Underwriting Chair, is contacting business and corporations to sponsor tables at this typically sold out event. Sponsors will receive special recognition according to level of contribution, including an invitation to a special "thank you" party in March.
