Health First Health Plans Announces New Chief Financial Officer
Rockledge, FL (November 20, 2013) – Health First is pleased to announce Don Hairston as the new Chief Financial Officer for Health First Health Plans. In this position, Hairston will be responsible for the financial operations of Health First Health Plans and is charged with measuring and monitoring the successful implementation of strategic plans, profitable growth, and the maintenance of the long-term financial strength of the company.
Hairston is an experienced healthcare executive with financial management experience in all aspects of managed care. He has served as CFO, President and CEO of various managed care companies throughout Georgia, Texas and Florida, providing Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Third Party Administration and Long Term Care products. He brings a wealth of knowledge and management skills to the position and has extensive experience in successfully developing, expanding and operating health insurance programs.
Hairston earned his dual Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Accounting from the University of Texas, and his Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. He also completed the Executive Program in Managed Health Care from the University of Missouri.
