Health First Physicians ranked among top in the nation again

They've done it again!

For Alphonse Pecoraro, MD, a General Surgeon with Health First Physicians, it is now two in a row. For his colleague, Paul Thompson, MD, also a General Surgeon with Health First Physicians, it is a three-peat!

Both Drs. Pecoraro and Thompson have been honored among Americas Top Surgeons for 2009 by the Consumers Research Council of America.

Dr. Pecoraro, a Board-certified General Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who has practiced for more than 10 years, has served as a member of the Medical Staff at Cape Canaveral Hospital since 2002 and his Health First Physicians General Surgery practice is located in the hospitals Medical Plaza.

Dr. Thompson, also Board-certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, has practiced for 22 years and has served as a member of the Medical Staff of Cape Canaveral Hospital for the past 20 years. His Health First Physicians General Surgery practice is also located in the hospitals Medical Plaza.

"We work hard to ensure that Health First Physicians provide their patients with the highest level of care available," said William Morgan, MD, and President of Health First Physicians. "Doctors Pecoraro and Thompson are perfect examples of what were trying to accomplish. We are proud to have them as part of Heath First Physicians."

The Consumers' Research Council of America is an independent research company based in Washington, D.C., that evaluates professional services throughout America. They select the nation's "Top Surgeons" by using a point-value system. Criteria include experience, training, education, professional associations, and Board certification. Surgeons who have accumulated a certain amount of points qualified for the list. No fees, sponsorships, donations, or advertising are accepted to ensure an unbiased selection.

According to the Consumers' Research Council of America, the "Top Surgeons" list is a good starting point to find a qualified surgeon. For more information, contact the Consumers' Research Council of America at www.consumersresearchcncl.org.
