How rewarding is it to volunteer your time and talents to patients and families when they need it most? You can find out, by becoming a Hospice of Health First volunteer. Hospice of Health First will conduct an informative two-day training session on Wednesday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 19, from 9 am to 4:30 pm.
Training both days will take place at Joe's Club, a program of the Brevard Alzheimer's Association, located at 4676 N. Wickham Road in Melbourne. Both sessions are required to complete the training.
Hospice volunteers are concerned and caring people who generously donate their time, effort, and talents to terminally ill patients and their families. Opportunities for volunteers exist in a variety of different areas, including patient/family support, community outreach, special events, clerical, bereavement, transportation, and errands.
To reserve your space or for more information, please call a volunteer coordinator at (321)952-0494, or e-mail Valerie Kenworthy at valerie.kenworthy@health-first.org.
