Moms in Motion

Pregnancy is an exciting time. Your body will provide all the oxygen and nutrients your baby needs to grow and reach his or her full potential - both physically and mentally.

The Moms In Motion program at Pro-Health & Fitness Center is an exercise and education program specially designed to help expectant mothers, like you, have a healthier pregnancy, delivery, and recovery.

Moms In Motion follows the exercise guidelines established by the American College of Sports and Medicine and the American College of Gynecology and Obstetrics. So, regardless of how active or inactive your lifestyle may have been before your pregnancy, you can safely participate in our guided exercise program.

Moms In Motion focuses on cardiovascular and strength building exercises, as well as relaxation and breathing techniques. With this program you will be able to increase your endurance and strengthen and tone the muscles used during labor and delivery. The class rotates through four formats: low impact aerobics, step aerobics, body shaping, and water aerobics.

Through participation in Moms In Motion, you will be able to:

  • build your endurance
  • maintain/improve your muscle tone and strength
  • maintain your range of motion
  • relieve stress and tension
  • reinforce your self-esteem and a positive body image
  • protect against back pain

The program also offers you:

  • up-to-date information on pre/postnatal exercise, nutrition, and emotional changes
  • group support through interaction with other expectant women

Postnatal

Now is the time! The baby has arrived and you’re anxious to get back into shape.

Moms In Motion is the perfect way to receive help and encouragement as you work to get your body back in shape. We encourage you to bring your newborn to class. There are exercises that you and baby can do together.

Most new mothers can begin classes four to six weeks after delivery. If you wish to start earlier, a release from your physician is required. Other complications of pregnancy or delivery may require additional time.

Enroll in Moms In Motion and gain the strength, endurance, and knowledge you will need for a safe and healthy delivery and recovery. You may register for this ongoing program at any time during your pregnancy; enrollment in unlimited. The only requirement is the written approval of your physician.

About our staff

Our prenatal instructors are certified aerobic instructors and have completed pre/postnatal instructor classes. All program staff members observe guidelines established by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. They are specially trained to help you complete a safe, results-oriented exercise program.

For your convenience, professional babysitting services are available on site.
