Rachelle is a real go-getter and when she found herself four-wheeling with friends on Thanksgiving Day that was just fine with her. Nearing the end of the day, she was navigating a tight corner when another four-wheeler turned head on into her.
She was thrown from the seat, but her foot was trapped in the wreckage. She freed her foot and it wasn't until the shock wore off that she realized her wrist was broken. She was taken to the hospital and stabilized; however, the nature of her injury required the expertise of Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Lombardo.
"I'm working my way through college to be an x-ray technician, so I was really anxious about having surgery. As a bartender, I count on every shift and getting back to work was really important to me. Dr. Lombardo used a plate and six screws to repair my wrist and even though I was still recovering, I was able to go back to work just two days later."
"I'm really grateful for how quickly I was treated and how great I feel now. In fact, I was back on the four-wheeler New Year's Day. A little more cautious, I suppose, but feel like I never missed a beat."
