Nana S. Amiridze, MD, PhD
Nana Amiridze, MD, PhD, is a Board-certified, Fellowship-trained Interventional Neuroradiology Specialist who performs minimally-invasive procedures. As Brevard's first and only Interventional Neuroradiologist with specialized training in Vascular Neurosurgery, Diagnostic Radiology, and Neuroradiology, Dr. Amiridze treats intracranial aneurysms, arterio-venous brain malformations, carotid-cavernous fistulas, dural arterio-venous fistulas, acute stroke, vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic head and neck vascular injuries, and performs angioplasty and stenting of carotid, intracranial, and vertebral arteries.
After earning her Medical Degree at Tbilisi Medical Institute as well as a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience in Russia, she completed her Residency in Neurosurgery with a sub-specialization in Vascular Neurosurgery at Burdenko Neurosurgical Institute in Moscow, then stayed on as a member of the faculty there from 1991 to 1994. She received additional Fellowship training in Neurosurgery in Zurich, Switzerland; London, England; and Munich, Germany. Her training in Interventional Radiology/Neurosurgery included an Internship and Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Missouri in Columbia; and Fellowship-trained in Interventional Neuroradiology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
In 2010, Dr.Amiridze joined Health First Medical Group and currently practices in Melbourne, Florida.
