Robert Clayton II, MD
Born to a military family in El Paso, Texas, Dr. Clayton moved to Florida as a young child and is a sixth generation Floridian. Board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Clayton joined the Medical Staff at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital in 1982 as one of only 18 physicians. Continuing to practice at Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital Dr. Clayton became part of Health First when it was founded in 1995, and then became a physician with Health First Medical Group when the group was formed a year later.
After receiving a liberal arts degree from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, Dr. Clayton moved to Tampa where he completed Medical School and conducted his residency at University of South Florida. During his rotation of OB/Gynecology, he decided that area of practice would be his medical focus. He liked caring for healthy women and delivering babies.
Dr. Clayton's professional interests include women's gynecologic health, and urodynamics.
Dr. Clayton is married with three daughters and two grandchildren. In addition to spending time with his family, he loves to play golf and fish. He has a woodworking shop where he enjoys building furniture.
