Board-certified in Occupational Medicine, Aerospace Medicine, and a host of other related medical specialties, Michael MacDonald, DO, MPH, MBA shares an Occupational Medicine and Aerospace Medicine practice with his identical twin brother, Stephen MacDonald, DO, MPH, MBA, a fellow Health First Physicians' Occupational Medicine and Aerospace Medicine Specialist.

Dr. Michael MacDonald's professional interests include; an array of standardized physical examinations such as Department of Transportation (DOT), Respirator Clearance, Pre-Employment, Medical Surveillance, Merchant Marine, and Coast Guard. He is a Designated Civil Surgeon and as such, authorized to perform Immigration and Naturalization Examinations. He is a Designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) and performs all types of Aviation Medical Examinations including Air Traffic Control for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). His office also provides Travel Medicine consultations along with any recommended vaccinations and prescription medications. He is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and will perform Independent Medical Examinations (IME's) and provide Expert opinions at the request of employers, insurance carriers, attorneys, courts, etc. His office performs urine drug screen collection and evidentiary breath alcohol testing and as a Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO), he can provide professional evaluation of such drug and alcohol test results when requested.

Dr. Michael MacDonald attended the Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Miami, Florida. Upon graduation, he completed an Internship in Family Practice at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL. He subsequently completed U.S. Navy Flight Surgeon training and continues to serve as a Flight Surgeon in the Navy Reserves. He completed his Residency training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at The Harvard University School of Public Health.
