2013 Health First Foundation Benefit Ball
This year’s celebration, held Saturday April 13, benefitted Hospice of Health First, the only Joint Commission Accredited Hospice in Brevard County. Thanks to generous support from our community, the event was able to raise $290,000 for Hospice of Health First.
The event was chaired by Susan Vallette, a community-minded volunteer who has served on past ball committees. She brings a wealth of energy and commitment to the leadership position, along with deep compassion and respect for hospice care. She and her husband, Dr. Julio Vallette, medical director for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center, are members of our Foundation’s Good Samaritan Donor Club.
Rob Perers, CEO of American Business Interiors, chaired the Benefit Ball Underwriting Committee. His business leadership skills and history of community involvement that have made him a wonderful asset in our community. We are honored to work with Susan and Rob on the Benefit Ball.
Benefit Ball proceeds will be used to fund hospice patient care, expand facilities, and develop a Palliative Care program. Dr. Ruddy Ruiz is medical director for Hospice of Health First and will be working closely with the underwriting committee to inform our community on the services and needs.
Hospice of Health First provides care to more than 150 patients each day in their homes. Services are provided to anyone in need, including those who cannot pay. For more details, visit: www.Health-First.org/Hospice.
