Check with Your Insurance Company before Your Procedure
It's a good idea to contact your insurance company and familiarize yourself with important info before your procedure. Knowing how your insurance company will pay your claim and if they are a participating provider will help avoid unexpected costs later. It is each patient's responsibility to know their insurance contract and which providers participate with their insurance plan.

Most Health First providers do not participate with other Medicare Advantage insurance plans. However, Health First will accept other non-participating Medicare Advantage insurance plans under the following circumstances:
For all emergency related services
For all elective services provided the patient has appropriate out of network benefit coverage and is willing to pay the out of pocket amount
For all elective services that the non-participating Medicare Advantage insurance plan will authorize out of network
Please verify your coverage before scheduling an elective procedure as you may be responsible for obtaining authorizations and experience higher out of pocket payments.
