Leonor Lourido, ARNP
Leonor Lourido is an ARNP, FNP-C with the Health First Medical Group. She works with the Health First Cancer Institute team at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Leonor earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. She then earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner - from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Her focus was on primary care services for all ages. Her clinical rotations included care in family practice and pediatric clinics, urgent care facilities, assisted living facilities, and making house calls.
Leonor is a member of the U.S. Army, Florida National Guard. While deployed in Afghanistan, she treated casualties of combat trauma. She also served as Executive Officer of a 56-member medical company made up of physicians, NPs, PAs, RNs, and support staff. She trained soldiers in a variety of disciplines, including preventive health concepts, physical fitness, and assisted referrals to community resources.
Prior to joining Health First, Leonor served as a medical provider for the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran's Medical Center in Charleston, SC. She cared for critically ill patients and their families in the surgical and medical intensive care units, working with interdisciplinary teams. She was a member of the Performance Improvement Committee. Before that position, Leonor provided medical care at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC.
Leonor holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Combat Casualty Trauma. She is a credentialed Critical Care Nurse in the Army Nurse Corps, U.S. Army, as well as credentialed ARNP, FNP-C with the U.S. Army.
She is also Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
