It’s time to mark your calendars for the not-to-be-missed charity event of the year. Over the past 33 years, the Benefit Ball has raised more than $5 million for health and wellness services in our community.
With its elegant décor, delicious food, exciting music for all-night dancing, unique themes and attendance of more than 500 people, the Benefit Ball is currently in the planning stages for another successful year. The Clemente Center on the Florida Tech campus will be transformed once again for an evening to remember.
This time the recipient of the funds raised will be Health First Cancer Services, which helps maintain compassionate and state-of-the-art care for cancer patients right here in Brevard County. Debbie Keller will be serving as the 2015 Benefit Ball Committee Chair. Al and Becky Dukes will serve as Co-Chairs for the Ball Underwriting Committee.
Last year’s Benefit Ball raised $343,000 for the Health First Breast Centers. Past beneficiaries have included Hospice, Telemedicine – Emergency/Trauma Department, the daVinci Robotic Surgical System, Bright Star, VitalWatch, Digital Mammography Equipment, NICU at Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center, the Stroke Program, and the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory.
Health First is also looking for generous sponsors to help support this worthy cause. Individual and Corporate sponsorships are available. A special cocktail party to honor underwriters will be held mid-March at a private residence.
